As it is now October, I made a start on my Lego Typewriter. This is how I got on.
Day 1 Took out all the packets, looked at the instructions, gulped, put everything back in the box.
Day 2 Took out packet No 1, opened it and poured the bits onto the table. Noticed the contents didn’t seem to match what was in the picture in the instruction book. Couldn’t figure out what to do. Put everything back in the box
Day 3 During a chat with my great granddaughter, she asked to see my box. When I showed her that the contents didn’t match the instructions, she said, ‘oh there will be another packet No 1’ and she was right, there was. In fact, there were another 3 packets, making 4 in all. She then made up the first piece. Amazing! It was all I needed to get me started. I reflected on how wonderful and productive liaison between the generations can be. Lucia is 10 and I am 72.
Day 4 Made up the first 9 pieces (See photo). Feeling chuffed. Will let you know when I finish packets No 1 and am ready to move on to packet No 2.
